Hey everyone in bloggerville I am alive and kickin. I'm one of those old west bloggers I guess when you get the mail the events has already passed. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. The old western movie that Ma wrote a letter about Pa is very sick. When you get the message it is too late Pa has died and Ma is all alone. Well, this is what I fell like my last blog was a month ago and a lot has happen.
Oh you want examples. First off I have resigned from my home church effective the end of this year to start a new church in January in Cape Coral, Fl. Jen and I have been preparing for the move a little at time since that day. Package a closet here and there. No big hurry yet. Please prayer for us as we transition into church planting missionaries. Right now I'm trying to raise my financial support through the FBC and personal supporters. Please prayer for this because this is not my strong suit I am shy about asking for money. Don't believe me ask my parents. But if my God is going to supply it will take the effort on my part. Trying to raise about $50,000 a year (for three years {$150,000]- salary/benefits)by this time the church will be self-supported in tithes and offering to handle a full-time pastor. Secondly, we had a great revival with a friend of mine that goes by the name of Randy Perry. The church had an exciting buzz and people where on the best behavior. Ok, do not act like you don't know what that means. Thirdly, last Sunday we had Shannon & Elizabeth Bradley come a speak to us about what God is doing with them. They are going to to the Czech Republic (Prague) to plant a church. The are being sent through a church planting ministry call Avant Ministries(www.avantministries.org)and they were trying to raise support to leave in November for five years and from their they well plant another in another city or country. The are using the Apostle Paul model- plant and bring in a overseer in five years to carry the church on and plant another and kept checking in on the church as they plant another.
Well, that is last thirty days in a nut shell. Today I'm writing this blog as I waited in a Moffit Cancer Center waiting room. I'm here today to bring a close friend to have a port put in to start Chemo next week. He is keeping me busy taking him to his appointment in Tampa because other are too busy or do not want to be brothered. Each week we trek to Tampa and back to appointments. All I got to say we might have to get a horse and leave a couple days earlier if gas doesn't drop. I have spent an average of $120 a week just in my van making trips to Tampa. But God has provided when to the wallet was tight. Because it will never matter the cost to me because this is my calling as a servant of God. When we are doing service with the love of Jesus he will always provide the extra for food and bills that the gas sucks up. Well they just called be back to see him. May God keep you close and bless you. Til the next post, I will try to update more. I'm sorry it is that snail mail.
