As we pack up the house a little at a time whe ask ourselves this question often. What is junk or what is a memory? They say one man's junk is another treasure. Do we have treasure or do we have junk.
Baby memories is treasure.
Old school books are junk. Why do we keep this books, we use them once and never again grace the pages. But we can come up with all the excuses to keep them.
Have you ever notice that when you move you find items that you have been looking for for years.
When you move as much as I have in my life you start collecting boxes and store then up like wood for the winter. But you never have enough. It like my wife and Christmas lights. Every year I purchase more and more light because we are short but we NEVER throw any way. Where do they go? I pack them in a box, tape them stronger than Fort Knox but every year we never have enough. We use a fake tree so it not the tree growing.
These are great time of Family bonding when you move because you find things that are fossils under the beds of your children. They have been buried under the bed for years. But you go to throw them away they suddenly need the happy meal toys and stuff animal that is missing the one eye ball and their ears or shredded from wear.
So I ask WHAT IS MEMORIES OR JUNK? The question that will never have an answer.
